How to find your yongshin

Finding yongshin = pinpointing what the chart lacks and what it has in excess.

1. Judge day-master strength

Strong → suppressing god as candidate; weak → supporting god.

2. Climate check

Winter charts without fire freeze; summer charts without water dry. Climate may override 抑扶.

3. Conflict/illness diagnosis

Two strong opposing elements need a mediator. A specific "illness" character needs its "cure."

4. Pick the most reliable lever

Among candidates, the one actually present (or frequently incoming) is the real yongshin.
