After deriving the eight characters, how do you turn them into a reading?

Step 1 — locate day master

The day stem is "you." Map it onto its element.

Step 2 — element tally

Tally the eight into five columns. Imbalances are the chart’s key levers.

Step 3 — ten gods and yongshin

Map ten gods, judge strength and climate, fix yongshin. Only then is interpretation possible.
