Saju (四柱, “four pillars”) is the Korean name for the Four Pillars of Destiny, also known as BaZi in Chinese. Your birth year, month, day and hour are each written as a pillar made of one Heavenly Stem and one Earthly Branch, giving eight characters in total. Read with the classical Ziping method, they describe your temperament, aptitudes and the flow of your fortune.

How can I read my own saju?

Enter your date and time of birth on SAJUBY (sajuby.com) and we set up your Four Pillars chart with the classical Ziping method. You can then receive a report on your Day Master, Yongshin, and the flow of your 10-year luck cycles and whole life.

How is saju different from a daily horoscope?

A horoscope or fortune looks at short-term flows — today, this month, this year. Saju (Myeongri) analyzes the eight characters you were born with to describe your personality, aptitudes and the large 10-year cycles of your life. SAJUBY offers in-depth readings based on classical Myeongri.

Yongshin (用神, the “useful element”) is the one of the five elements — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water — that your chart needs most. It is chosen by weighing the strength of your Day Master, the season of your birth and the balance of the elements. Using the colors, directions and kinds of work that match it can help you make better use of your luck.

What is Daewoon (major luck cycle)?

Daewoon (大運) is the large flow of fortune that changes every 10 years. The element and Ten God each cycle brings into your natal chart set the general direction of that decade for money, work, relationships and health.

Sinhae Day Pillar (辛亥) — Personality, Career, Love & Wealth

The Sinhae (辛亥) day pillar pairs the day stem 辛 — Jewel and Refined Metal — with the day branch 亥 (Pig).

The Day Stem

Xin-geum is jewel, refined metal — small but precise, hard, self-respecting.

Detail, aesthetics, completion — strong in design, jewelry, high-end craft, profession, evaluation.

Where It Sits — the Day Branch

Hai water is a wide, gathered body of water. Where Zi moves, Hai holds — broad, undiscriminating in company, rich in imagination.

Hai in the day branch is capacity and imagination — putting people at ease, inventing stories, though loose boundaries let anyone in.

Twelve Life Stages

Bathing — exposed and shaken.

Challenges

Self-respect can become pride; small slights cut deep. Separate external rating from self-worth.

Environments & Relationships

Curated galleries, luxury shops, spaces with shine and detail — closes off in roughness.

Pairs with water (recognition) and earth (gentle holding). Friction with strong fire.
